Grand Himalaya Treks and Expedition
Warwick Noles Mera Peak Climbing
15th of March, 2015

The spring being just round the corner, Grand Himalaya’s maiden group of the season has flown to Lukla early this morning in a panoramic flight. First few days the group will be trekking into the temperate forest of Makalu Barun National Park and they probably encounter with the rarest wildlife of the Himalayas viz. Red Panda and Musk deer. Magnolia, different species of Rhododendron, Cherry blossom, Primula, etc can be seen in utter bloom during this time of the year.
Leaving the lush temperate forest behind, the group will then trek pass some of the remains of ancient Sherpa villages en route with all those ramshackle traditional Sherpa houses and the rail of Prayer stones which are lined alongside the pathway are something that will certainly magnet their interest. Their ultimate aim is to climb Mera Peak 6467m, which is the tallest peak of the trekking peaks. The glimpse of Sherpa culture, the rich flora and fauna, the contrast mountain terrain, and then the Himalayan alpine are the highlights of this trip and are something that make this trip completely unique in its own.
