Everest Climbing Season Called Off
4th of May, 2015

Yesterday some of the last expedition teams at the Everest base camp have assimilated at Arun Treks' Indian Army Camp to discuss about the issues pertaining to the Everest climbing season 2015.
A handful of expedition teams which comprised of Russell Brice, Arun Treks & Expedition, Asian Treks, Seven Summit, Jagged Globe, Cosmos Trek and the SPCC have participated in this meeting which was held in Everest Base Camp yesterday.
With the unanimous decision of all the participants in the meeting including SPCC and icefall doctors, Everest climbing season 2015 has been officially announced to be closed after the tragedy on 25th April 2015 which caused the base camp being severely destroyed (70%) by avalanches as a result of the massive earthquake which put the entire nation of Nepal in crisis.
On behalf of the climbing Sherpas and icefall doctors, I would like to pay my sincere gratitude to honorable Russell Brice and the Indian Army Everest Expedition leader, Major Ranveer Singh Jamwal for their unerring support as well as their pure respect to the sherpas and the entire nation, Nepal.
We are still awaiting for the Tourism Board of Nepal to come up with a fair consequences to all those Climbers on Everest from every nook and corners of the globe, who had to go back to their home country empty handed.
