Nawang Palzor Sherpa
Climbing Guide

Nawang Palzor Sherpa, a proud son of Solukhumbu, from the beautiful village of Musey. I have spent my life amidst the towering giants of the Himalayas, and I am fortunate to have climbed some of the world’s highest peaks—Mount Everest, Lhotse, and many others.
Climbing these mountains is not just a physical challenge, but a spiritual journey. The mountains are sacred to us, the Sherpas, teach many lessons about patience, resilience, and respect for nature. The journey to Everest was particularly special, as it is not just a summit, but a part of our identity, a part of who we are.
As a Sherpa, I’ve had the privilege of helping climbers from around the world reach the top of Everest and Lhotse, but the journey is not just about the climb. It’s about the bond we share with the mountains and with each other. The challenges are immense, and every day on the mountain teaches you something new.
The altitude, the harsh weather, the dangers of avalanches, and the constant struggle for oxygen—all these are part of the mountain experience. But what makes it worthwhile is the view from the summit—the sense of achievement, the peace, and the connection to something much larger than ourselves.
Climbing these peaks isn’t just about personal achievement; it’s about being part of something much bigger—the spirit of the Himalayas, the strength of our ancestors, and the legacy of those who’ve climbed before us.
